Here is the pool we played in yesterday. It really looked bigger in the picture on the package. It worked for yesterday, though. I have video of this, too. I think it's safe to say she loves playing in water. After she got tired of splashing, she discovered that she can crawl in and out of it. I think I'm going to have to spring for a bigger pool. This one's not much more than a puddle.
The poor thing's diaper got so bloated with water, she couldn't crawl right. I almost bought some of those swimming diapers, but I don't know how much better they are.

She finally couldn't keep her eyes open any more. She looks so big in this picture. I used to be able to hold her in one arm. It still sounds strange to me when the doctors refer to her as a "toddler". She barely lets me hold her during the day anymore. She'd rather be moving around on her own. Sigh.

Here she is trying to run toward the babies.

Katie wasn't too sure about the lake. It was COLD, though.

Katie and Daddy and Bonham State Park checking out the geese.

Here is our campground from Sat. night. We had a lot of fun! My favorite part was catching fireflies, of course. I've got video of that I'll get up later today or tomorrow.

Here she is trying to crawl with her hair bows in her hands. (You can tell how well I can keep cute hair bows and headbands on her.) This is how her toys now get scattered all over the house.
Sometimes, we get to the point where Katie really needs a nap, but won't give up and take one, so I put her in her crib with some toys. After a little while, she'll fall asleep, and this is what I find.

I'm happy to report we got our A/C fixed this morning. It needed a new capacitor (whatever that does) and more freon. I've got it set on 80 with the fans going, and it's perfect! It's sooooo much better than the sweat box we had yesterday! Katie's taking a nap again. She took 2 this morning at Mrs. Alys' house. I think she's catching up from not sleeping yesterday.

  1. Awe Jessie,
Katie is soo soo beautiful! I have the water diapers and the only difference is they dont swell in water. I would get them if you ever take Katie swimming, but you will have to change her to regular diapers once she is done because I dont know how they hold up to a diapers duty!
