Here she in in the Jumper Roo. I think she likes it, she just needs to be a little bigger.Katie had a particularly fussy day today. This is what would happen when I would try to put her down.... I tried to let her "cry it out", but that didn't last long b/c she started coughing and her stridor got louder. (Sorry it's sideways...I neglected to fix it before I uploaded it, and now my siren of a baby is going off. Turn your head sideways if it really bothers you to look at it sideways :-) )
We went to WalMart, partly to get dog food, partly to occupy Katie. She loves riding around and looking at everything. I think I scared a pregnant lady I saw. She was there with her mom looking for baby shower invitations, and I was looking at the scrapbook stuff. They were looking at Katie, and they asked how old she is. I told them that she'll be 6 months next week, and of course, they commented on how small she is. I told them she was born at 25 weeks and how small she was. Turns out, the pregnant lady just turned 25 weeks pregnant. She had a worried look on her face and started asking a lot of questions. I tried my best to reassure her, but I still felt kind of bad. We talked about baby stuff for about 15 min., and they told me all of their baby plans. Sometimes it still bothers me that I didn't get to follow my plan of how I thought things should have been. It was nice to talk to people who can talk back to me, though.
For the other preemie moms, I got an email saying that the Preemie Magazine company has gone bankrupt, and will not be published any more. I really think that's a shame. That magazine was a huge help while Katie was in the hospital, and it talks about a lot of stuff that deals with preemies at home, too. I hope that the March of Dimes or somebody will pick it up. Anyhow, thanks for checking in!
