We've had a low-key weekend, which is a very good thing. It's been nice to not have to go anywhere and do things at our own pace.
Katie seems to be getting more daring each day. She's turned into a pro at scooting things around and turning tubs and boxes over so that she can climb up on them. She's fearless when it comes to climbing, but she still doesn't have the confidence to turn loose and walk. I think part of the problem is, when we're practicing, she's trying to move at running speed.
I've begun the process of trying to get the Synagis shot for Katie again this year. (This is the shot that beefs up her immune system.) The insurance company doesn't feel she needs it since she is not on any meds now, so I had to write up a letter explaining all the reasons she needs the shot. (Including her lung disease, my exposure to other kids, daycare, etc., etc.) If they still try to deny it, the next step is getting all the specialists to write letters. Hopefully, we won't have to worry about that.
Thanks for checking in!
